Last week my 15 year old daughter Katie was in Nashville with her mother. Katie wanted to go to Bobbe's store for something to do, like mess with her dad. She met Bobbe, he spent about an hour with her, played a couple songs for her so she could hold the phone up and rub it in to me on the other end.Hell he even got on the phone and talked to me! I wanted to get on here and say thank you Bobbe, for treating my daughter so great. Thanks for the cd's the T shirts and tuning wrench. You are a great person to take time out of your busy schedule to entertain and shoot the bull with a 15 year old. Meeting Bobbe was the best thing about her whole trip. I never met Bobbe, but I guess my daughter can introduce me to him in St. louis. Thanks again to a world class fellow. |

Bobbe is a jewel,Been dealing with him maybe 14 or 15 years,A few times when I would be in NV,with the band,we would go by and see him.Even tho I'm just a half-a--ed unknown picker. He would treat us and make us feel like super stars before we left. Not only is he one of my favorite pickers,he's one of my favorite people.Just wish I could visit him more often. If any of you are planning a trip to NV,go by and see him,it will be the highlight of your trip.Bama Charlie. _________________ Hard headed, opinionated old geezer. John,
Your daughter will probably remember that visit for the rest of her life.
Special moments seem to stay with us forever.
Mr. Seymour has been blessed with a gift that
many of us would love to have- communication.
I would love to visit his store someday. _________________ " Even if you're on the right track , you'll get run over if you just sit there. "

This man's goodness knows no end. I contacted him recently in regards to a fund raiser the Georgia Steel Guitar Association is hosting for our friends in need, Larry & Yvonne Moore. I was asking a favor that that he didn't owe, looking for a donation of a set of strings or a CD to use in the raffle. He graciously responded with strings, CDs, instructional material, and a Peavey amp! Bobbe will be in the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame one day soon, but he has been in the Steel Guitar Heart of Fame for a long time. Love ya, man.

I've never met Bobbe personally, but I know he is a nice person. He cares really passionately about steel guitar, its history and its future.
I am looking forward to meeting him in the flesh at the Dallas show next year, and to seeing him inducted into the SGHOF. The latter is only a matter time before it happens. He has an English sense of humour - whacky - and is self-deprecating (whatever that means ) He also honest, a quality that doesn't always endear him to everybody. I like honesty. |

Bobbe has been a friend of mine for years and years when in reality, it has been only a couple. Just the way it is. I go to Nashville 2 or 3 times a year just to hang out at the store for a couple of days. Everyone needs their batteries charged now and then so that's what I do. Try it, you'll like it. |

Bobbe is one of those unique individuals where hundreds of people can probably say "Bobbe's one of my best friends" and mean it.
I've never met him. I've missed phone connections repeatedly (bad timing on my end). We've only "conversed" via email - but I swear, it's like I've known him since we were kids
I WILL rectify the situation and figure out how to meet up with him one of these days. He's an absolutely priceless individual and a *real* friend.
And I STILL can't figure out how he makes any money with all the stuff he gives away!!!!

There you folks go, pumping him up again. He's just settled down from being inducted into the Texas Steel Guitar Hall of Fame last March in Dallas, and you're loading him up again.
He got so up tight in the Dallas dealie that he forgot where the Master Switch was on that little kit plane he flies.
Don't know if he'll be in next year's SGHOF or not but I can assure you one letter is on it's way. That's how you get those things done you know. There's a procedure listed on Scotty's website and a format that must be followed to a "T", no exceptions accepted. You want it done, take the time to find out all the essentials and write the letter.

Bobbe is one of the greatest ambassadors of the Steel world. The first time my wife and I visited his shop he took time to show us all around and played one of my favorite songs on his albums. Which I have all but the one he is working on now. We left with an armload of gifts and feeling on top of the world. Since then and several jams later I can say he is one of my best friends. Bobbe plays and gets sounds that are uniquely his and no one else gets.
He is "one of a kind" and a "Kind One".Don't miss his shop if you get to Nashville. The Hall of Fame needs his name on the Board. He loves what he does and does what he loves. Can't do better than that
thanks Bobbe.
