My friend and former band member Harry "Hap" Hatterer lives in York. He works with "The Keystoners" a band from the Dillsburg area. Harry plays a D-10 ZB.
Another excellent steeler is Burnell Groft in Hanover.

Heh, Heh, I know Chuck Rhodes. We were at a party in Perry County with another friend (Chuck Stoner) who had a private airport on his property which we joked about being Perry County International. The next night, Chuck made a comment on the air about the Perry County International Airport being closed because of fog. The listening audience missed the "Perry County" part, and assumed Harrisburg International was closed. Chuck got suspended for a week for that little joke.
Nice guy though.
I am originally from Carlisle BTW, and that little incident happened in the late 80's IIRC.

Corey , i don't think of myself as a real steel player compared to Wayne Wallett, Henry Cassel, Jimmy Landis, players like these guys but i live in Elizabethtown, Wayne is in Perry County, Henry near Harrisburg,(Route 22), Jimmy in Landisville.Barry
Waldemier is in Red Lion former staff steeler in Wheeling, W.Va. There are lots of pickerds in the area. I have some of their phone numbers if you want to give me a call. TJH OOps forgot Fred Amendola (Lancaster) worked in the Nashville area a long time.
Hum, wrong Chuck!!

Thats Wrong Chuck, not Wood Chuck. I think you folks may be thinking of another Chuck Rhodes, my Chuck was never a weather man, maybe only when we were riding motorcycles in the rain near Virginia Beach, he did have a few words to say about the weather then. this guy is a great steel guitar player that lives in Armbrust Pa, just a little one horse town near Greensburg Pa.

Hey Ernie.....I know Chuck. As a matter of fact....my wife bought her steel guitar just before he closed up shop. She bought a Nashville LTD from him(she still has it)and it's the best steel guitar I have ever played.

Ron, this is the one I have in my address for Chuck Rhodes. If your ever down this way, stop & see me, take 219 from Somerset to 160 in Berlin Pa, down over the Mt till ya get to Wellersburg Pa, just down the rd from there 160 turns in to Md Rt 47, that runs right in to Rt 36, make right to Mt Savage, come to the post office, take left go 1/2 mile till you see my sign on the left, make that left & come to the top of the hill. Its a good idea to email or call before stopping by. I am sort of 'semi retired' & just doing steel guitar stuff now. I don't keep regular hrs at my store anymore.
mailto:
steelpr@zero.net that is the last one I have for him, guess its still good
