It's just about that time again, June 1th, for our steel guitar show in Nicholasville, Ky. Don't know the line-up yet but Al will post it soon on the web site www.steelpickersclub.com Check it out and if you're in the Central Ky area, go out and support steel guitar in the area.

Is this the same show that Fred Layman was involved with around 10-15 years ago? I played fiddle on a couple of them...one in Nicholsville and the other in Lexington.

I just spoke to my friend, Al Vanderpool, and I will also be playing at this show on June 1st, so I hope to see all my friends there.

My friend and great picker Eli Hall will be at the show June 1. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend this one, but if you can make it I'm sure you'll be hearing some fine steel!

It's been a couple years since I have been to this show, but looks like I might be able to make this one. Maybe I can hitch a ride with someone from Louisville.
It'd be nice to see Eli, Larry, Joe and Curly.....er Chet along with Mr. Herby Wallace.

Accpomplished musicians all and even better, great human beings as well. Cool

Thanks Glenn and Jerry for the kind words. Glenn, I'm sorry you won't be able to make it tomorrow night in Lexington/Nicholasville. Jerry, as I mentioned to you earlier today, you're welcome to ride over with me.

I'm looking forward to meeting some new friends and I hope we all have a good time.
