Guess the steel player

I found this on youtube, I remember seeing this when I was a little kid - maybe this is what began conditioning me to take up steel ten years later.
My first guess was JD, due to the style and the TV show connection, but I think Sesame street was produced in New York back then, so I'm not so sure.
Granted, it's a silly little tune, but it's not bad picking.
Any guesses on the player?
