Building another amp...(number 4)

Anyone have a real 57-ish tweed pro????? Anyone know how big the cutout is? Or the distance between the two mounting holes??? I have everything else nailed out for dimensions except this.

Thanks!

Hi Dave
I have a friend's 58 Pro, and the top half of a 58 Super cabinet, and the cut out for the chassis looks the same on both. 16 1/4" wide and 2 1/2" deep. The chassis mount screw holes are 17 3/8" apart, and 1 3/8" in from the back edge...Jerry

Hi Dave
I'd be happy to send pics if you want. I've built a few amps myself, but haven't any woodworking skills. Have done the tolexing, and grill cloth installation though. Made me appreciate how much skill, care and thought went into it. Also came up with a good reverb circuit, that uses one extra tube, 6FQ7, for these tweed Fenders. Post volume control, pre EQ...Jerry
