actually it wan't nearly as dramatic as all that... 'cept in my head Smile
As proof-of-concept (playing a "regular gig" with "economy axe") I initiated my StageOne at the Birchmere last night. Full house, listening club...

It performed flawlessly. Concept proven as far as I'm concerned.

Held it's tuning well under the lights, It sounded just fine with the Vibrolux (I have yet to crank it thru the Twin), and there were no major playability issues; there were some in the band who claimed to not have noticed I was playing a different guitar till I brought it to their attention post set... I guess that may just say something about how well folks pay attention to their surroundings, or the fact we had a hurry-up-and-wait-okay-you-have-5-minutes-to-soundcheck kinda evening, so folks were focused on getting their own stuff together and not payin me much mind.

The challenge of analyzing how to play certain tunes on the fly was good brain food.

Thanks Doug, for building the fine little machine! (And of course thanks to Bruce for his design!)

the only thing about this steel is I feel kinda like Leslie West holding a Les Paul Junior...great big guy, little bitty guitar ha ha
