I spoke with Don telephonically one winter a few years ago and he told me he does in fact do slants and is a big fan of Jerry Bryd. I would love to see "Walking after Midnight" tabbed in it's entirerty here on the forum one day. |

That clip is a bit of real history. Don Helms steel guitar, Billy Byrd electric guitar, Grady Martin fiddle and Jack Drake Bass. I often wondered did this group play some together or just this show? Well anyway you can't go wrong with Hank and Don Helms. Don is one of my favorite people in the world. I love you my friend. Bobby |

In Don's interview in Andy Volk's book he says he never did very many slants but he had to do some. So he did some. |
