I'd like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to my friend and fellow NW musician, Duane Becker, on being the very first inductee into the Northwest Steel Guitar Association's Steel Guitar Hall of Fame. I didn't get the opportunity say this at the SuperJam when they awarded you the plaque - but this award is very well deserved. Without your hard work, dedication and love for the steel, there would not have been a NWSGA and we certainly wouldn't have had the successful and enjoyable weekend we just had. I know you are way too humble and modest to ever admit it, but it is true.
Hang that one on the wall, Duane, and display it with pride when you have steel playing guests there attending your Bed & Breakfast steel learning workshops.
Proud to be your friend and occasional sideman.
