Had the pleasure of taking in their show this past Sunday night and enjoyed it very much. Fellow forumite, Eddie Snow, plays steel and fantastic Banjo for the group and they feature him big time all throughout the evening. They have a great cast this year with great comedy. I think they take off Tuesday night and work the other six nights with preshow at 7 pm and show at 8 pm. If you're in the Branson area, plan on the short drive south on 65 into Arkansas and then west on 62 hiway into Eureka Springs and The Hoedown Theatre will be on your left going into town just past the Passion Play road going to the right. You'll hear more great pedal steel there in one evening than you'll see at three other shows. Try em--you'll like em --- |

Thanks Bill for all your nice comments. The George Brothers try real hard to a put together a entertaining show that apeals to all ages. I know they really appreciate you posting about the show on here. Lucky for me we do alot of classic country songs that feature steel guitar so I do get to play, it doesn't hurt that Randall is a real steel guitar fan either besides being a great guitar player. We want to invite everyone to come see this years show, I feel lucky to work with all these talented players and singers. I enjoy meeting fellow forum members at the show and have had the privalege of meeting several since I have been there. Look forward to meeting you if you can make it to the show this season. Thanks again Bill, Eddie Snow |

Bill, I sure agree with you on this one. Me and my wife go a couple times a year to see the Ozark Mountain Hoe Down in Eureka Springs. I think it is one of the "very best" shows in the Midwest States. I can't wait to see Eddie this year. He blows me away with his steel and banjo. Super Pickin. I thought last year I would be a little disappointed that Mike Nichols went with the Moe Bandy Show but that quickly disappeared when the great talent took over once again. |
