My new 6 string Blustem arrived today. Sweet job Randy. It was packed so that UPS couldn't even destroy it. Although sent USPS. I had a Melobar Rattler and my feeling is this is going to rival it. Very nice fit and finish and has a very nice tone and sustain. Playing it through a little Peavey 158 and sounds great. I may have to spring for a Roland 30X though. Check em out on Randy's site. Jack -- now that you've had it for a little while, what are your impressions? What kind of wood and pickup did you get? |

Peter, I believe its maple wood, The pickup is a P90 style. It has excellent finish. I'm not too crazy about the Boomer strings but am changing them to flat rounds soon. Excellent volume and sustain. Check out his site. Jack |

Thanks for the complement, Jack. I'm glad you're enjoying your lap steel. I've got a 6 and an 8 that are available at the present, and I have to pack up for a shop move. Hopefully we'll have the new shop up and running by fall 2007.
