Hi,
I'm trying to find out as much as possible about the National New Yorker from the 1937-38 era with the extra pickups. Does anyone have a catalog - original or repro doesn't matter - from National-Dobro from this period with info about the New Yorker?
If so, would it be possible to scan and e-mail me the page(s) concerning the New Yorker? That would be great and very much appreciated!

This is from the '36-'37 catalog. Not much tech info here. I don't know if there is a catalog from '37-'38, maybe there were separate ads published in trade papers.

What's that all about!?!
That's the version preceeding my 1937 model - with concealed pickups but with different controls and some design differences. Has anyone else got ads from this period, or info about this "steel storage chamber"?

Take a look at the National logo between the frets and the bridge - that's a 1937 I'd love to find. |
