Just wanted to say howdy to everyone here. After lurking around for a while I finally decided to join. Definetly worth it to be able to communicate with all the great players here.
I'm always up for taking a lesson from players in the area if anyone is up for it.
I play a Sho-Bud Pro 1 thru a Lab Series L9. I dont see many steelers playing these amps, but they're really great! |

Hey Joe, Welcome to one of the greatest spot's on the "WWW" for steel guitar information. I have been a memeber for quite a while now. I have learned so much and have made some really good friends around here.
Take care,
JW
PS: I'd trade all of the Florida Panhandle for Dallas any day you lucky dog. Do you even know how many of the worlds greatest steel players only live a little ways from you? If you get a chance you need to check out Gary Carpenter over around Ft. Worth. Another would be the fantablulas Junior Knight. I'm jelous! _________________ Show Pro D10, Session 400 |

Hey Jim,
Funny you mention it....Junior Knight and Gary Carpenter were two of the first guys I ever took lessons from. Both of them are amazing players.
I took a lesson with Junior when I was a begginer, and mostly sat there in awe of his playing. I think I'd benefit more from it now though.
I recorded the lesson with Gary on cassette and he showed me so much that to this day I still go back to it for new ideas.
I plan on taking lessons from Maurice Anderson soon. Heck, I'll take lessons from anyone whos better than me!! |

That's what I call a positive attitude! You'll be touring in the big time in no time. |
