Any links to getting a stand for a lap steel? I have a Derby ten string.

Thanks.

A keyboard stand is the most reasonable option. Make sure it is tall enough for you and check them all out, as there are many different designs. Get a sturdy one.

Once you get it, go to the Auto Parts store and buy a couple feet of 3/4" or 7/8" rubber hose. Using a utility knife, cut it to lengths that will fit between the rubber caps on the ends of the upper bars. Then, split the hose lengthwise and it will clip right over the bars. This gives you a soft, non marring and non slip surface to set your lap steel on.

Rock On!

P.S. Vintage stands are bringing insane prices.

Thanks for the tips. I did try a keyboard stand, but it was too wide and didn't adjust to correct height if I wanted to sit, was ok for standing.
