Hello everyone, after following this forum for the last few months I've decided to join. I'm a long time guitar player who became interested (obsessed) in steel guitars just last year. There are so many great players and knowledgable people here it boggles the mind. I play Dobro and Weissenborn, and am becoming interested in electric lap steel as well... here's to you all! This is a great forum.

Welcome Jon. I hope you have as much fun as I do here on the forum. But, tell Rick that his scrolling signature has me cross-eyed!

Thanks everyone. Jan, yes I'm pretty familiar with the forum already, but now I can display my ignorance for all to see instead of just keeping it to myself.... there really is so much information here, and I've enjoyed listening to soundclips from some of you great players. Humbling and inspiring all at once.
