midnight in montgomery

Does anybody know the correct way to play this song. Especially the little haunting lick. I play it at 13th fret using string 1, 2, and then 4 but it just doesn't sound right. Paul just amazes me how he gets that sound. I like all the other licks and fills he uses as well.
