Looking for student model

Post by Michael Douchette »

A friend of mine, Hugh X. Lewis, called me tonight. His roofer buddy has always wanted to learn to play pedal steel and asked Hugh if he knew where he might find an inexpensive one. I told Hugh I would ask here. If anyone has one in the grand-ish range, let me know so I can let Hugh know about it, please.

Thanks for the replies and e-mails, guys. I will call Hugh tomorrow with the options so he can give them to his friend. We'll see where it goes from there.

Guys, thanks. I have plenty of offers to run by Hugh X. I'm sure he'll let me know something next week.

Guys, just a quick heads up... Hugh X's buddy has not been in touch with Hugh yet, so I'm still waiting myself. As soon as I know something, I'll pass it along.

Check out the new Jackson Blackjack. I think it is an amazing steel for under $1000. I had a chance to play one and it had a great feel and a great tone.

I played the same Blackjack that Mike played at Perl-Jam this weekend and I'm thinking about getting one for myself to keep at my office, it's a great value.
