There are several teachers in So Calif. I took lessons from Blackie Taylor in Riverside a few years back. He did a good job of " getting me to know the guitar" and answered a whole bunch of "why" questions. His phone number is 951 686 4010

John McClung in San Pedro and Chris Allen Burke in Long Beach are the guys here in LA. They're both on the forum, so it should be easy to contact them.

I was coming back from a gig about midnight, going 75-80, on the 101. After crossing the 405, about 25-30 riders on "crotch-rockets" in the middle lanes, caught up to me. When we got to the straight stretch, most of them stood 'em up on the rear wheels and took off down the freeway doing 100mph wheelies. I love it!
