I recently had the pleasure of visiting Noel and Shirley Anstead in Brisbane, Australia and besides flooring me with their utmost generosity (thanks so much again) Noel showed me his personal guitar and I just had to post a couple of pictures- to say it is stunning just doesn't seem to do it justice~~~

It would NEVER do for me to own that guitar. I'd just sit looking at it and be afraid to touch it. Noel could obviously teach fine furniture makers a thing or two about finishing a piece of wood - and what a piece of wood at that! That thing is just too beautiful to sound good (but I know it does).

It sounds as good as it looks- Noel makes his own pickups employing his own unique design and sounds like no other guitar.

The guitar frightens me; it looks alive! Could not keep it in the same house as I grew up watching too many Grade B horror flms in the late 50s and early 60s. steve t

It's even more impressive when you consider he makes his own lumber from trees he scouts in the bush.

I've heard he also plants trees.
