Anybody tried to replace with a 15" speaker to a NV 112? And how does it works and sounds? |

Would there be enough room in there to put a 15" speaker? I have tried 12" speakers before but still like the 15 the best. Sounds like a good idea.

Several months ago I hooked up a 1502 in an Evans cab
to the NV 112. I was able to adjust the amp and got a usable tone. IMHO just stick with the stock 12" speaker. I like to use two 112's. Some things are hard to improve on IMO. _________________ Keep pickin', Larry |

I'm with Larry. After years of modding amps and instruments into something different from what their designers intended, I'm now inclined to let them be what they are (albeit the best-working "what they are" they can be) and just use something else if they don't do what I want/need them to do. _________________ Visit my music page at http://facebook.com/drfried |

Wouldn't that make it a NV 115?
I think that the stock speaker is very nicely matched to the amp. If I owned one, I wouldn't change the speaker. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

NV 112s are good as they are - 2 of them will cover most any venue.
Although - I blew a blue marvel while ebowing. I sent it to Peavey and they fixed it fast and free. I was thinking of replacing it with a Black Widow. When I was in Dallas I asked Mike Brown if he thought that would prevent it from happening again. He said he didn't know, but to let him know how it worked out.
According to him and to Bobbe no one else has popped a blue marvel.
But if it happened once it could happen again . . |
