My Goodrich 120 volume pedal has a rough, uneven feel to it as it travels back and forth. It's about 6 years old. The volume seems to be working ok. I have examined the inside, and the string and post appear to be tight. What could be the problem, and how can I fix it?

Try a drop of oil on the pot shaft bearing and the bearings on each side of the pedal. I suspect the pot shaft is the culprit.

I suggest you also take the bottom plate off and observe the pulley set screw as you slowing operate the pedal and check to see if the screw or string is hitting the string guide stand which is adjustable.

No One told me you had to oil them. It needed oil on the pot post bearing. It's good now.
Thanks John and Jerry!
