I know Charles was short on space to put all of Larry Sasser's credits in the announcement. Larry also worked the road and Grand Ole Opry with Del Reeves, and his discography reads like the "Who's Who" of country music. Larry also had several other national TV shows prior to Nashville Now. You can always count on a greatly entertaining show when Larry plays! I'll certainly be there for this one.

Charles is doing a little better. I guess that means he'll be hollerin' at me, instead of Jerry. Unless they BOTH decide to holler at me. A feller just can't win...
Y'ALL COME ON OUT! Memorial Day weekend, so we can jam Saturday night, and the show Sunday can run as long as we want it to!! Hope they don't run out of hot dogs.

Hey friends,

As always, I'm really looking forward to the Saluda show. This time though, it looks like I'm gonna miss Saturday night. Assuming we make it till then, Cindy and I will be celebrating our 30th anniversary that weekend. The kids are planning something special for the occasion and I think they want me to be there. Anyway, I'll see ya on Sunday.

To the Saluda gang,
Since the show date was moved to the last weekend in May, I will be unable to attend..I am booked in Oklahoma for the Tulsa show..The Tulsa show has been scheduled every year, for Memorial Day week-end, since they started having their show.
I regret not being able to come to Saluda..It is one of my favorite shows, and I really look forward to it..great pickers, great fans, and always a great time....don't think I've missed one in over ten years...
See you in August,
RP,,,'come on in'...

Rob, sorry you can't make it. That means I've got to learn the words to, I don't know, EVERY COUNTRY SONG EVER WRITTEN?????
Your talent, and your personality, will be appreciated in Oklahoma just as much as they are in Saluda, my friend. Enjoy yourself, and don't make any plans for August without consulting Charles or me, OK?
God bless you, pal :D !

Well darn, I was still thinking May 20th! I'll be with The Filmore's House Band playing for Heritage Days in Pound, VA that weekend. Go ahead and pencil me in for August, though. Anyone in the VA area that can't make it to Saluda, come on over to Pound. I think we're the token "Country" group to help break up the Bluegrass shows.
Disappointed in GA,
Roger

Hey Stephen, let me at least sing 'cheatin heart.' I still don't have a pedal steel yet, but I do plan to be there. It sounds purty near what I would call a hootenany. One where you run it so long at night that you can't even tell when one day starts and another stops.

David, feel welcome!
Guys, I talked to Charles yesterday, and since it's Memorial Day weekend, I had an idea. We lost a great one last month, when Garland Nash passed away. So this is gonna be the "Garland Nash Memorial Convention." We're going to dedicate this show to Garland's memory. I didn't get to know Garland as long as you guys, but I sure did like him! So you guys plan on sharing Garland Nash stories (if there are any  ) and if you play lap steel, bring it!

Gee, I just noticed the change in dates. We will try to cancel our rooms and find reservations for the weekend of the 27th!

Glad I checked again. We sure would have been early.

Looks like we are out of the show due to the date change. I have a doctor's appointment in Alabama that was rescheduled once already that I cannot miss.

Sorry we can't be there!

Did you say hotdogs?

I have heard from sources of how great the food (hotdogs) was at the last event. What is the secret recipe or ingredient guys? I always thought that hotdogs was hotdgos.

David,
There is a definite difference in hotdogs..What you have been probably getting elsewhere, is just hotdogs...what you get in Saluda, are hotdogs..yes there is definitely a difference..
Correct me if I'm wrong Stephen...

Rob, my friend, the hot dogs at Saluda are things of beauty. If you haven't had a Saluda Hot Dog (note capital letters), then all you've had is a weenie, some chili, mustard, and onions, served on bread.
Hot Dog!!
