Tom, look out for the space aliens and UFO's. There are everywhere out there. I don't think they play steel, but have fun. |

I played a club there once, can't remember the name of the place, but the police paddy wagon parked right in front of the club everynight. A "duck and cover" gig if there ever was one! LOL

I used to play in Las Cruces a lot in the mid-80's with a Singer named Leon Payne, at a Club called the Desert Sun. It was Run by a fellow named Martin...I don't know if it is still there...anybody know??? Jory _________________ Jory Simmons |

I was born and reared in Las Cruces. "Tu sabe Espanol?" Played the old Corral back in the late 60's . Haven't been back in at least 25 years. These gigs were as Mac Davis said in one of his songs, "orchestrated fights" Just don't kill the steel player. BTW, it is now illegal to tie your horse to the parking meters in town. |
