website for listening to the different woods that dobros are

Post by Terry Sneed »

Can somebody post the website that has the sound bites of the different woods that dobros are made from please? I think it was Beard dobros, not positive.

It won't be to long before I want to upgrade. I think I want to stay with the Beard guitars. I like this little Beard Goldtone. I can't afford the Mike Auldridge model. That's the one I'd really like to have :)

can't get them to work

Well, I can't get the sound bites to work. I got them to work before, but they were just audio sound bites. 10 hours to download quicktime. Is there some other way to listen to these sound bites?

I just checked the website and everything came up fine. You must have active X and Quicktime.

active x?

I'm not sure what an active x is. But will I have to download the free quicktime to see the video? If it takes 10 hours to download, I can pass. :)

You might want to try Rob Anderlik's site. He has a number of sound samples for comparison, too.
