the easy way without looking at the label tab near the terminals is the 1501 is a non ribbed cone, if you have the ribs it is likely a 1502

If it's the original speaker, it's a 1502. That is what came in Session 500 amps. Peavey didn't start using the 1501 until around 1989/90 in the Nashville 400 amps.

The lable tab near the terminals does have the 1501
printed on it.
Talked to Mike Brown last week and gave him the Ser #
on the back of the amp,and he says it's a 1983 year model.
Witch is the better speaker?
