Monday night in Nashville

Post by Mike Hoover »

I got lucky again last night. I was in the Nashville area visiting our son. Went to the Station Inn for a GREAT TIME listening to the Time Jumpers. Fantastic is all I can say. If you haven't seen and listened to this band, then you have missed part of your education. They play western swing the way it was ment to be played. I encourage anyone that visits Nashville to plan a monday night at the Station Inn. It Don't Get Any Better Than This.

I forgot in my previous post that I aquired a copy of the Time Jumpers DVD. I just finished watching about half of it. Ya'll have got to get one. Excellent quality both audio and video. This is got to be one of the best Western Swing bands out there. This group gels together like they are one, each one is a master on their instrument. You can tell that they enjoy playing together by the way they sync together. I had my favorite seat right in front of John and Andy, it a pleasure watching those two work together, but not only them all the rest they are mind connected and their playing shows it.

I highly recomend this DVD especially if you like and/or love western swing.

I purchased the DVD when I was at the Dallas Jamboree and my only concern was that it may not play on our set up in the U.K.
Mr John Hughey assured me that he had already had positive feedback from this side of the pond, and he was correct.
My question to all Forumites is...Why have you not got a copy?
This is a MUST for any music lover, sheer perfection in every way.
Best regards

I know that's right, 'cause I've been there and done that! One of the best shows I've seen in a while!
