I need to replace the speaker in my nashville 400. What do you recommend. Is there something better or more cost efficient than the black widow
Thanks

Do you need to replace the entire speaker, or could you just replace the basket? That would be less costly, and easily done. If I had to replace mine, it would be with another 1501SB Black Widow. |

Hi Roger
My speaker is distorting and I'm not sure the basket would fix the problem so I think I'll replace the speaker instead of spending the money for a basket and then it not do the job. Besides the basket is 2/3 the price of the speaker by what I could find on the peavey web site.

We do sell the magnet assembly and 1501-4 replacement basket, however they are not sold as a complete speaker. You may order either part through the factory parts department and we can assemble it before it is shipped. It is very rare that the magnet assembly can become defective unless it becomes "demagnetized". Again, this is very rare.
The 1501-4 ohm Black Widow shallow basket has a part number of #00027020. Again, this can be ordered through your authorized Peavey dealer or by calling the factory parts department at 1-877-732-8391, ext. 1180.
