I just received Living Era CD of GEORGE MORGAN-"Canady Kisses, 28 Original Recordings 1948 to 1952". Jerry Byrd is credited as the steel guitarist on 6 cuts. On the others the steel guitarists are Billy Robinison, Donald S. Davis and Tony Lanes. As a 12 year old in 1949, I don't remember these 3 names at all. I was familiar with (my mentor) Roy Wiggins as Edddy Arnold's steel player. Did the 3 noted guys every play with artists besdies George Morgan?

| Don Davis used to be Carl Smith's steel player, I think???? He was featured on the Robin Hood Flour Show along with George Morgan. Of course we know who Billy Robinson is and the many artists he did session work for. The last name, I've never heard of. What tunes did Jerry do on that album? |

Please Believe is Aug 9, 1952
The last two Sept 12, 1952 and are duets with Rosemary Clooney.

I guess I'm really ignorant, or suffering from "Elderly's Memory" because I don't know Billy Robinson!!!
