Which of us Canadian forum members are heading to Dallas for this year's convention? I'll be there with fellow forumite/Newfoundlander Don Cuff, from Thursday to Sunday. So far I know of:

Joey Ace
Greg Simmons
Al Brisco
Jeff Bradshaw

Anyone else?

I was there last year and had a great time. I'll be there this year as well. I arrive on Thursday afternoon and leave on Monday morning.

I'm going for the music but I'm sure I'll enjoy the temperature after the long cold winter we've had up here in St. Paul Alberta. -20 as I type my message....

Lookin' forward to it.

It wouldn't be the TSGA Jamboree for me without the ol' horse trader Wayne Link!

Somebody tell me he's gonna be there, please! ;)

Been wondering myself. I'll give him a call later this AM ... he's unlikely to post here himself ... "those computers, I dunno... " :)

Don;

is Ron Halldorson coming? :D

Greg, Wayne says he spoke to him a few days ago, and Ron has local commitments and will not be there.

Ron's commitment these days is to jazz guitar (not steel) and bass.

Hey all you Canucks!! Come by our Rains Booth and let's visit and sing "O Canada" eh! I should be there Friday and Saturday.

So glad to hear my dear friend -- Dr. 'Loogan' Wayne Link -- will be there. It was my dad, Ron Halldorson and Wayne who got me playing steel as a kid growing up in Winnipeg. Wayne and Joan are the greatest people (they're beauties eh) who are a part of the Simmons family -- great memories! Must go eh...

I guess I was wrong about Wayne posting here ... unless .... could it be Joan doing it for him ?? :D :D

You're right Mr. Simmons, they are great people ... a lot of us are looking forward to a Mid-Canada Jamboree 2008 ... hopefully.
