That's a slick quad there Rick...how long did it take you to assemble it? What all did the assembling entail?

Interesting statistic on eBay browsing for Fender steel guitars: the auction took right at 11 hours to end. In that time, the item drew 270 hits.

That's a lot of lurkers/shoppers/tire kickers. Of course, the guy with the ammo who's not afraid to pull the trigger hit the bull's eye.

I was one of those lurkers, but just to see how high it would go. Considering the homemade refinish job, would you say it sold on the high side?

I had one once. It added too much flat space in my living room - things started piling up on top of it. Magazines, junk mail, etc. I had to clear it off any time I wanted to play it.

The question about the number of hits is a "Killer".. FREE Counters and Services from Andale is just underneath the "Hit Counter"

Also I'm intrigued by the buyer's name .. I wonder could it be the man born on February 28, 1927!!

Casey, it didn't take very long at all.
A little glue, some duct tape for stability . . .

The day before it hit ebay, the same instrument appeared on my local bulletin board for $1,899. Hundreds less than the BIN price listed on ebay. http://www.craigslist.org/nby/msg/66057926.html

I posted about this one before, but if anyone is in the market for a quad Stringmaster, badly refinished, but otherwise in excellent shape, contact me. I know of one (have to check, but I'm pretty sure it's still available) that can be had for a whole lot less than what this one went for.
