I usually backup the files I create or download to CD-R and external hard disk.
My digital camera uses SD memory cards and now that memory cards have gotten larger and cheaper I am thinking of getting a 2GB SD card to use instead of using CD-Rs.
Is anyone using memory cards for backup? Are they as safe (dependable)as CD-Rs.
Any thoughts based on your experience or readings would be appreciated.

Mel,
I use camera "cards" for temp storage, also jump/flash drive units. I don't use them for permanent storage, think I would rather trust cd's. A computer guru friend installed a program on one, says it works good. _________________ Bill Ford S12 CLR, S12 Lamar keyless, Misc amps&toys Sharp Covers

I been using USB Sandisk 1g ones, and I'm doing a master backup on a set of DVDRW discs.
I should go get a couple of large cards for my Canon 230s fro thos weekend. I've always been astounded by the sound definition out of the pinhole mic.
