What's the latest on Dickey? Is he back to playing after his recent medical problem? I sure would like to watch this man play in person. Anyone know where I can find one his cd's? Thanks.....Ricky

I had the pleasure of hearing him live for the first time last Saturday 17th February in Bandera TX with Jake Hooker. He surpassed my expectations as the most expressive steel player I have ever heard.

FYI Guys...I will be doing the sound for the Glen Rose Rodeo next week. The lineup is Thursday Mar 1, Kristi Kalyn with your truly on steel guitar, Friday night Mar 2 brings Jake Hooker and I believe Dicky is with him, Sat. night Mar 3 brings Sonny Burgess, I'm not sure who is playing steel with him. These dances will be after the rodeo (Approx 9:30PM)

Buddie, if I'm not mistaken, David Norris has been with Sonny a long time and will most likely be the steel player.

I had the pleasure of hearing Dickeyat the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo & Worlds Biggest BAR B QUE this past weekend. He sounded great and his fingers were in great shape.
I did not recognise him so I went up to ask if that was him.
Lots of fun.
