These two songs I used to play in my early years of learning steel guitar. I wonder why I keep going back there?
If anyone knows who wrote Steel Guitar Jubilee please post his name. From the Western Swing era. It's a great little instrumental and the composer should get his credit.
Lazy River is a short rendition done on the Leavitt Tuning based on music sent me a few years ago by Ian McLatchie. Thanks Ian.
I add a little fingerstyle segment of my own
which I think demos how this technique can be used effectively even without the presence of lower bass strings?
Both of these songs are done on my newly acquired BR-9 Gibson six string. Jubilee is standard C6th.
Here are the links thanks to Andy Sandoval. http://members.cox.net/loveridehd/LAZYRIVER.mp3

Credit for Steel Guitar Jubilee should go to Joaquin Murphy and Smokey Rogers.
You've done a great job on it. Let's hear more of your fine work. Thanx for sharing.

Is that C6 with a high G or E?

Sounds great and thanks for posting!

Man, you make those things sound pretty, Roy. As I remember, the tab of Lazy River I sent you had some fairly difficult jumps.
I've simplified it a little since. Any improvements I make are nothing compared to what it becomes in your hands, though - beautiful!

Hey Roy, will you be adding Steel Guitar Julibee to your tab list? There are few licks in there I need to learn how to play!

Jeff, all of these songs will be on my tablature list. I would like people to have an opportunity to play any or all of them if they wish.
Ian, being used to 10 strings anything within
the realm of 6 is hardly a jump for me. I used half of your arrangement and then went
chordal fingerstyle with a little of the
melody to put a swing to the beat.
Bill, the high string is "E" on my C6th.
For information on my tablature list those
interested are welcome to check my thread in the Tablature Section of the Forum.
Many Thanks,
Roy

Bump for Roy!!!
Wow, I love your tone! I can only aspire to get that even vibrato . . What kind of echo unit did you use? It's not an echo-plex is it? It does almost does have that tape echo sound . . .
(I think maybe my problem was my default player is Music Match, once I got the media player going they played no problem)
Tanx again Roy! waiting on yer next tune . . .
