Hi,

I'm trying to license Dick Sanft's recording of "Mapuana" for use on a compilation CD to be produced by the Florida Folklife Program.

He recorded this tune on his "Totally Hawaiian" LP for the Fiesta label in 1979. The album jacket says original recordings by Viking Sevenseas Ltd. Thanks to Todd Weger for that info.

I am trying to contact either Fiesta or Viking Sevenseas Ltd. Fiesta is apparently out of business, but I suspect their catalog has been bought by some other company.

I have searched the Internet pretty thoroughly.

Viking Sevenseas Ltd. (NZ) is apparently alive and well and still producing books and sound recordings--mostly if not entirely about New Zealand culture, wildlife, ecology, and even herbal medicine. But I can't find an e-mail address or Website for Viking--only a mailing address and phone number. I'd like to e-mail them.

It's a bit of a longshot, but I thought there might be someone among us who might have contact info for Fiesta (phone or e-mail) or Viking Sevenseas (e-mail).

Mahalo!
