Say folks, I'm new to the Forum. I had a music store in Northern Indiana. A dude brought in an old PSG in a couple of piles and/ or boxes. It was in a car wreck without a case!!! I think maybe ups crashed with it. Anyway, it has a very odd couple of things about it. Brass changer fingers and fingertip type end tuners only much more simple. the body is maple with an inlay in the center of the front. Black top and necks (D-10) white fretboards and open gear tuners. 8 pedals and 2 kl. The changer is the odd part. It looks like a fingertip crossed with an MSA I saw one time. Help. How can I post a couple of pics? One of the guys that hung out at Shot's garage might have seen some of the experimental pre-fingertip guitars. The woodwork is much like the last set of pics on the FINGERTIP BUDS post.

The pics that I mentioned are of Marc Weller's Bud. The woodwork not the Changer.

Rick, I replied to your email, but it bounced back. Do you have spam protection or something? Try again and we'll figure it out somehow.

Does it look similar to this one except with white fret boards? These tend to look sho budish. They came in a bunch of different wood combos, some with a single inlay on the front center.

That picture of the changer is very similar but the rest is vey different. If you checked out Marc Weller's Fingertip pics from an old post called Fingertip Buds? you would see the exact border inlay. His has a natural maple top and mine is black. his has the typical fingertip adjustments and mine looks much like the Miller pics. Hope to get the pics up soon!!!

I am sad to say that my guitar is a mutt. It sounds very nice, but plays less than great. I'll keep tinkering with it. Thanks for all the help in IDing the steel.
