THere will be a benefit for diabetes on February 10, at the N. Attleboro VFW on Jefferson St. This will be the third annual fundraiser put on by Gladis Johnson and Elaine Ellis, As usual, Elaine is in charge of the music, with an unusual line-up of musicians. How often do you see two steel guitars in the band? Yours truly and Tony Palmer have the honors. The band will feature Elaine on bass, Andy Solberg on lead guitar, J.D. Foster on drums, and Manny Escobar and Tony Palmer on steel. The time of the dance is 7-11PM. Come and enjoy 50/50 raffles, coffee and pastry, etc. Donation is $7.00 at the door.

Hey Elaine, you get an "atta girl" for the Diabetes fundraiser event featuring a band with Twin Steels (Manny Escobar and Tony Palmer). Manny and Tony did a great job, especially playing a duet of the song, "What a Wonderful World". The Lead guitarist (sorry I don't know his name) was awesome. I don't want to leave anyone out___The whole band was great, even Sam and Anna White came all the way from Tennesse to support it.

Great job everyonr and Anna and I enjoyed the evening. Anna and I went to Post 15 today and if I knew Eddie Fenner's band was going to be the Band I would have brought my Steel up and set in with them.Ghuck and Marcia it was nice seeing boyh of you again.Anna and I are headed back to Tennessee Monday morning early.Manny and Tony Great job playing the Steels.

I would like to thank all who attended the fund raiser. Gladys Johnson raised over $700.00 for Diabetes. Elaine Ellis`s (Two-steels-in-the-band) experiment was a lot of fun. We got to play four instrumentals. We played ; The preacher. Sleepwalk, What a Wonderful World, and The Steel Guitar Rag. Thanks to Sam and Anna White for coming all the way up from Tennesee.

Manny I'm glad they did good for the Diabetes. Anna and i were donating to the Goslin Clinic in Boston for children with Diabtes when we ran the RISGA. I had letters from them thanking us and I turned over them and everything else to Tony when he took over. The Dule Steels were super and I think they should have dule steels in every band.HA just kidding.
