Mine is IDENTICAL to what you describe. SN# 16842
I bought it around 1982 or 83, was a "Demo" not sure how long it had been on the floor. I would guess yours is from the early 1980's also.

| hello Randy, i bought my super pro black in 1981, ser #16076, ordered it late dec. 1980 , and even took it right out of the box at the music store feb 18 1981, still have the receipts, kept it for 20 years!, wish i still had it back., had added 2 extra knees for 8x8, was a great guitar, looked like new when i sold it, had never been back in its case from the day i broght it home from the music store, hope that helps, Eugene |

 Randy i'm told that the serial numbers doesn't mean anything about the year the guitar was made . I bought my Pro-ll Custom new in 1977 ( which i still have ) and the serial number on it is 13280 also i have a L.D.G. which i bought maybe a year ago and the serial number is 17783 ,i dont know when the L.D.G. was made but Ricky Davis told me that he thought somewhere around 1980--1982 .
