I wish they would have given more time to Uncle Bob. I saw my cousin carolyn in the audience. Rosetta and I were wondering who was going to accept the award. I guess she did. She works in television in television in L.A. and in Seattle.
It was good to see Johnny Gimble and Ray Benson on hand. Does anyone know who the steel player is in the beginning clip? |

It was good to see Bob Wills recognized but I don't know why he got one song as opposed to Rascal Flats doing three Eagles songs.
Say hi to Rosetta for me! |

Yeah, they should have done a medley of Bob's stuff. Also the arranging was not very good. The steel and fiddle didn't click, almost like there was a mixup in who would take the break. And it didn't seem to be Carrie's genre. |

The Rascal Flatts take on the Eagles was just horrid!
Yeah-who was that steel player-they showed him for about one second at the very end. _________________ Mark |

Sonny Garrish was playing steel on "San Antonio Rose", although I never did see or hear him very well. I received an email today from Mark Casstevens, who was playing the big arch-top acoustic, , and he said that he and Sonny flew out to do the song with Carrie. |

I was shocked that Bob Wills even got a one-song tribute televised, with the way things are going with the Grammy's in recent years. I was happy to even just hear a steel guitar.....I certainly didn't expect to get a good look at it.
Maybe Snoop Dog could have rapped another Bob Wills tune.
And I'm not sure what Rascal Flatts are supposed to be. They're a great bar band, by the sound of the Eagles tunes they covered. _________________ Jackson Steel Guitars
