I would think that it was originally part of a multi-necked instrument that they dismantled. They probably added the controls to that neck & made 1 or 2 singlenecks that are just plug & play without those pesky tone & volume controls.
That's just my theory though. |

I notified this seller over a week ago that this was a non-original parted-out piece of a multi-neck instrument. He replied that he had been meaning to edit his auction listing and thanked me for the reminder. Then he did nothing. Glad nobody was duped, but there's still time... |

I agree with the above posts on it being non-original. More of a "Frankensteel"(thanks Rick for the pix)
but...the pup is worth at least $150, knobs another $50 or more and if any of the other electronics are original maybe another $100+. If you really like it, I'd might go as high as $400 just for the parts but you should ask the seller a few more questions before you bid  |
