I would like to buy a 12" Black Widow for Peavey express 112 amp. 1205-8 olm. It currently has a sheffield speaker and its way too bright. No bottom end. Wont this help a lot?
Thanks |

Virtually ANY speaker would be better for pedal steel than a Sheffield speaker! If I were you, though, I'd just wait until the Neo Peaveys are introduced, or buy one of the other Neo speakers now available. |

Just changing the speaker won't solve the problem completely. I have an Express 112 also...for my practice room. I put a NV112 Blue Marvel in it, and installed Burr Brown chips in it. Now it sounds like a steel amp. Plenty of bottom and clean clear highs.
I wouldn't use it for big gigs...it's only 65 watts...but for small to medium gigs, it would do fine. But, I have a NV112 for that. _________________ Best regards,

What is a Burr Brown chip and where do I get them installed? |
