I would like to buy a 12" Black Widow for Peavey express 112 amp. 1205-8 olm. It currently has a sheffield speaker and its way too bright. No bottom end. Wont this help a lot?
Thanks

Virtually ANY speaker would be better for pedal steel than a Sheffield speaker! If I were you, though, I'd just wait until the Neo Peaveys are introduced, or buy one of the other Neo speakers now available.

Just changing the speaker won't solve the problem completely. I have an Express 112 also...for my practice room. I put a NV112 Blue Marvel in it, and installed Burr Brown chips in it. Now it sounds like a steel amp. Plenty of bottom and clean clear highs.

I wouldn't use it for big gigs...it's only 65 watts...but for small to medium gigs, it would do fine. But, I have a NV112 for that.

What is a Burr Brown chip and where do I get them installed?
