This is one of my all time favourite songs
for steel guitar.
From what I recall reading, it is Hawaiian and
and written by Lani MacIntyre. I know there are people here who can clarify and offer
further information.
The first time I heard it was on Jerry's Hi Fi
Guitar Album and also perhaps on a Hawaii Calls program.
Time sure flies. This is a nostalgic time for me.

Roy, that is beautiful! I always loved that song too, and you really do it justice.
Thank you.

Hi Rick,
I have something going with Beautiful Angel
and I would like the track you sent me a few weeks ago without the "Sympathizer"
Just the bass, soft rhythm.
Can you do that keeping the same original track?

Roy

Ever since 1941 I played this song in C. Then the band I was with about 15 yrs ago had a sax player who could only play it in Eb. Now we have a singer who can only sing it in Bb. Good chaining. CC

Roy, that's a "sound from the heart" you have there. Keep up the great work. Geo

I first heard Jerry play that song in the forties, I think while he was on the Midwestern Hayride at WLW Cincinati. I'ts always been a favorite of mine, and I play it often. I have the sheet music for it, and the origonal key is Eb. I usually play it in C, but it can be played in any key without a problem.
Roy, you play it to the words very nicely, an it really sounds great.
BILL
