Hey folks, I am getting some great stuff here. Just recently from Fred Justice, Mike Archer and Alan Thompson. Alan is from Scotland and does a great job on a couple of favorites. All the players are fine and I appreciate all of you who have sent me the files. Of course, I am still waiting to hear from David Wright.
Well, maybe before Christmas :?:

I am having a blast and hearing some great players that most of us have never heard.

KEEP 'EM COMING

Tilley-That is a great thing you have started and much appreciated by all the players. I would like to hear all the steel players play a tune on your site. If I can find a decent solo, I'll maybe send one in. Keep up the good work....al.:):)

Hi Tilley, I found one song "Whispering" that I recorded with a 1942 Gibson Electraharp 8 stings 6 pedals. I did this on a Wax Transcription at a Radio Station in 1950. Plugged right into the board , wore earphones, and could not control the sound without my Amp. I'll send it on MP3 as I found a program to go from wave to MP3.
I did about 8 songs, then transferred them to Reel to Reel later and then to Cassete when they came out. What a long trip. From 1950 to here.
I sent a tape to Jody Carver a couple of years ago, and he was kind enough to say some nice things about the tape.
Thanks again for the good things you are doing for steel guitar, and especially for the younger budding steel players of the future......al.;):)

One of my very best friends and steel guitar idols, Bill (Mr. Smooth) Stafford has done it again with his rendition of "When I Dream." If you don't listen to this one, you are missing something special.
