Here is a video from, I believe, the mid-1950's. Who is the steeler on the triple neck?

Looks like Bert Rivera to me. That's Billy Thompson just over Hank's left shoulder playing guitar, and looks like Curtis Potter on bass at the far right.

The steel player in this video was definitely identified as Bert Rivera in an earlier post, perhaps 1--2 months ago.

Thanks folks. Can I assume that guitar is a Bigsby?

The guitar Bert's playing is a Wright Custom T-8

Thanks Herb. I thought that it was non-Bigsby-ish.

I'd say about 1963...

Most of the surviving Star Route footage seems to come from 1963, say.. is that Red Cameron the cowboy actor as host?

Bert joined around 1961-63, the Wright Customs were super hot around that time, Bert's Wright was his first 'pedal' steel.

As I mentioned in the other thread about this clip, Bert recently got that Wright Custom back from the son of the guy he sold it to back in late 60's. It doesn't have the apron and Bert says he doesn't remember it having one. But, it's plainly there in this clip.
