Hi Everyone.
Just to introduce myself as a new member.I have been playing steel since 79 after hearing John David Call and Pure Prairie League.I play regular guitar but that guy touched me like no other musician I had heard before.I had to get a steel!!Where is he now ?Does he still play.?How did he get that train sound on Kansas City Southern -it doesnt sound like a "slanted steel train sound" as its only 2 notes by the sound of it.Any ideas?
Next came Buddy Cage and he is just stellar. My favourite is all his live work ,especially the Home Home On the Road album.I honestly think that no one can drive a band with as much energy as Mr Cage.Regards
