I am about to buy a 70's lacquer MSA in minty cond.
It is a 3 +4 S10 which is not enough for my copedent.. I use either 5+5 or 6 +4 ... So that leaves me with needing to buy 3 pedals and a knee or 3 pedals.. occasionally, original MSA Classic pedals are for sale here and there, but I doubt I'll get them cheap...Knees are not a problem, Wayne Link has them and if I recollect, all the pull train parts as well..Just not the pedals.. His stuff is fantastic and his prices are very realistic.

I guess my question is thusly.. what can I do to get a few pedals on an old MSA if I can't find any originals for sale??.. Is there anything somewhat similar that I can retrofit?.. Is SELLING the 3 mint condition originals ON the steel and then buying 6 of a different, readily availlable pedal an option?.. I am used to working on steels and the pull train work is not a problem at all, however, pedal availability scares me..

I would hate to sell my Bud, buy this GORGEOUS MSA, and then be miserable because it has 3 pedals less than I need, with no way to afford or even FIND them... any helpful ideas??.. bob

Bob, have you talked to Jim Palenscar? He might be able to help. I think he might be able to make them for you if he doesn't have any in stock. Might drop him a line.
