Steelers on Wolfgang's Vault

I have been checking out the live concerts from Bill Graham's San Francisco Days & there are quite a few groups with steel guitarists. The obvious New Riders of the Purple Sage with 3 shows with Jerry Garcia & one with Buddy Cage. Judy Collins has a concert with a steel player, Merle Haggard, Johnny Paycheck, Roy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker are listed though I haven't listened to the shows yet. Emmylou Harris has one with Hank De Vito & another with Steve Fishell. I'm hoping they add Poco, Flying Burrito Brothers, Rick Nelson, Manassas, Souther Hillman & Furay, Linda Ronstadt & some of the other country rock 70's groups. There a show on this site from 1974 that Dickey Betts did with the one and only John Hughey on steel. No doubt that John was the best prepared member of the band. Extended solos and jams. Just search Dickey Betts as the performer and it will come up. A lot of the material is from the Highway Call album
