What's the best cleaner for bakelite? Any ideas for a substitute for the missing dots on my Rickenbacker fretboard. Thanks for the help.-JS

While sitting with Jerry Byrd and complaining about having lost 2 dots from my newly shipped B8, he grabbed his bottle of 'white out' and solved the problem his way, quickly filling the holes.

Simple and effective.

Now I'm glad I lost those dots.

Thanks- My body's in pretty good shape so the rouge should work well and I've got some silicone from hurricane repairs so I'm all set. You guys are great, now if you can help me sell the Electar and Oahu in the For sale section, I'll be golden.-Jeff S

I'm in the process of "revamping" my 59 and all the dots are now missing- probably at the bottom of the plater's tank)). I was going to turn some black delrin to fill the holes~ actually I was thinking of the plug at the top of a black BIC pen to start with but haven't gotten the two together yet to see if they're "compatible"~~
