Is there one good website that shows musician credits on songs? |

allmusic.com is a really good source...but when it's a pre-'80s record,all bets are off...especially country records...there were thousands of records released with NO musician credits...that's why guys like Lloyd Green,Pete Drake,and others from that era only have a page or two(or three)of credits...not allmusic's fault...the credits aren't there to be listed. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/stevehinsonnashville |

I've been a fan of All Music since buying their book in my pre-online days. But Steve is correct---they are not a bunch of detectives & researchers. Their info sources are basically the same as everyone else's----liner notes, google, etc. Consequently they fall short as a go-to settler of bar bets as to who did what the most times back when....
But I'm always there getting info of some sort. |
