Oh man......now that looks outrageous!!!
Does MSA do their own finishes, or is it contracted out :?:
I think A.J. Nelson does the lacquer for some other companies.

Jay, Don't tell me you play your steel "out behind the barn?" There are so many better things to do out there!!

Wow, Jim, gorgeous! I'm coming to visit you after the Mesa show for some show and tell, dying to hear the tonal differences between all your extended E9 guitars. I'll bring my Mullen, too.

Just days before I ordered my Legend, I was lucky enough to spend a day at Jim Palenscars shop in Oceanside, which just happened to be during a visit by Mark Giles. We looked at a few photos of his work on the forum and when we came across a shot of that beautiful Fessy with all the inlay that was posted about that time, I ask if he had done that guitar.
He smiled and told me that was his personal guitar. I told Mark that when I first saw that photo, I became a big fan of his work and that was "the exact sunburst" I wanted on my new guitar. When I placed my order with MSA, I told Kyle that I wanted Mark to do the finish and to just tell him "it's for his big fan from Jim's shop". He really came through with exactly what I wanted and I'm glad I had the chance to meet with him and speak directly with the artist himself!

Jay, That would be the one. Thanks Jim and the rest of you for the compliments. Dan V. also has a "burst" on its way. Although, it is a different color. Mark

Mark and I had some very cordial, enjoyable, and creative conversations about the concept of the cabinet and the unique finish of the new Legend I have on order. What a pleasure to deal with Mark and the entire MSA team. I understand from Kyle that it's about 2 weeks from completion. Of course I'm getting a little antsy waiting to play such a fine instrument and work of art.

I'd be playing one of those right now if they built left handed models. I love my left handed Fessenden that Mark did the lacquer work on.
That's a beauty of a guitar, I know your enjoying it.
