That's an interesting changer mount/pillow block design. Do you have an end shot of it?

A "Closet Classic"

My 1980 SHO~BUD PRO II see trough black that I recently purchased from my Amigo Seymour who woke it up from a 31 year nap.

Guitar has the original factory setup of 8 X 2, with the 2nd and 8th lower on RKR. LKR raises E's.

Guitar is totally unmolested, near zero total time, drop dead mint! Total absence of yellowing on the diamond inlay! Setting behind it is like being in a time warp!

Even the case looks like new, not a scratch anywhere!
Build date of guitar was 4-1-1980.

Thanks Bobbe!

Hi Jerry, sure thing & thank you for your very kind comments. The guy that I built it for was VERY HAPPY. The changer/pick up housings are a one piece design & milled out of solid blocks of aluminium, as are the peg head and end plates.

Thanks Dave. That's nice. And all this time I thought Sheffield Steel was just a Red Rhodes steel guitar instrumental :!:

The idea to call it a "Sheffield" was my mom's, as I'm originally from the steel city of Sheffield UK, so Sheffield Steel, Steel Guitar. Chris, this is the 6th of my 3rd generation design, I built 3 or 4 before these 6 to prove some theories that I had.

Oh yes. I understood the UK connotation, my remark was just an aside and poor attempt at some light humor. Good to know the history though. Cheers. :D
