Speaking of being "GREAT", NOEL BOGGS has to be one of the greatest. You'll notice his name scrolled across the front of most every guitar he ever owned. Check out Merle Travis, Hank Snow and other 'greats' who had their names either on the guitar body or along the fretboard. Some 'greats' had their names on their guitar straps. Names on instruments might seem 'tacky', however I see nothing tacky about it. Probably dates back to the days of the Big Band drummers, when most of whom had either their initials or their full names printed on their bass drum.
